Ostracon, from Deir El-Medina (19th Dynasty), with a sketch in red and black ink of a stonemason using a mallet and chisel. The characters seems comical and is enjoying his labours. He has a bald head and is shown with stubble on his chin and jaw. The Museum's descriptions says on the reverse is an image of the scribe Nebnufer is offering to Meretseger, along with hieroglyphs (this reverse side is of a more careful style).
