Bronze model of an offering table and ritual vessels of the Lector Priest Idy dating to the 6th Dynasty (c.2300 BC) from Abydos. This set was placed in Idy's tomb so that he could enjoy the ritual throughout his eternity (EA 5215, 6086-9). ON the front edge is an inscription with part of the usual offering formula asking for Bread and Beer for the Sole Lector-Priest Idy.
