Slipper Coffin faceplates.

Egyptian outposts included the site of Beth Shean near the dead-sea. Many of these skipper coffins have been found in the area.

They are called slipper coffins because they are composed of an enormous pot. The body was placed inside, and the faceplate covered the opening.
