High on the Migdol above the entrance gateway into the temple enclosure are images of a Rekhyt bird. The bird represents the people of Egypt and there is a view that says this indicated to the populous where they were allowed to stand in temples and official buildings. Rekhyt birds can be found in may temples such as Edfu, Luxor and Karnak.
