Limestone Stela of Neferseshempepy/Senni dating from the 6th/8th Dynasty.

Neferseshempepy was an office holding different titles - which were carved on a number of relief within his tomb.  This stela give two titles, Sole Friend of the King and Overseer of the Funerary Workshop (overseeing the embalming process).  He is shown on the left as is usual and wears a short linen kilt - he has the official's staff and sceptre of authority.

The inscription reads:

line 1 - an offering which the king gives to the Foremost of the westerners, Lord of Abydos (ie Osiris)
line 2 - (that he may give) offerings to the Sole Friend of the King
line 3 - the Overseer of the Funerary Workshop
line 4 - the revered one
line 5 - Neferseshempepy/Senni
