Entrance [see D on plan] to Vizier Ptah-Shepses's Mastaba between Sahu-Re and Niuser-Re's pyramids.

The Mastaba was constructed in three distinct phases and is a fine example of the techniques predominantly found in royal burials. It is equidistant from Sahu-Re and Niuser-Re's Pyramids and would have originally had a smooth fine white limestone casing. The lotus columns are 6 meters high and they are both made from single pieces of limestone. Abusir Pyramid Complex, Egypt.

Ptah-Shepses is described a "Kings Son", maybe through his marriage to King Niuser-Re's daughter Princess Khamerernebti.
