Lead glazed earthenware Cup by a follower of Bernard Palissy (1550-1600). This type of object appealed to the 16th century sense of humour - when the contents are poured out or drunk the nakedness of the female figure is gradually exposed (Victoria & Albert Museum, London, Jul-2005 041).
