Alexander Beith, Born 13th Jan 1789, died 11th May 1891. A good soldier of Jesus Christ. An eloquent man and mighty in the scriptures. For 71 years an ordained minister, 52 years in Stirling as minister of the first charge till 1846 thereafter Minister of the Free North Church. He was a courageous leader in the Description of the Church of Scotland in 1843 , a strenuous builder of the Free Church and Moderator of the General Assembly in 1858.

Julia Robson, his wife. Born 22nd Jan 1806, died 26th Sep 1880. For 42 years his brave, wise and loving help ... who laboured with him in the gospel, a succourer of many. "A mother in Israel, her children arise up and call her blessed."
