Reproduction of the "Battersea Shield", c.300-100 BC, the original is within the British Museum (76.123). The shield was made of sheets of bronze held onto a wooden backing with rivets. It's decoration included 27 studs of opaque red enamel and chemical analysis suggests that the shield was made no later that the 2nd century BC.
