One of a hoard of Bronze spear-heads dating to 900-800 BC that were dredged form the River Thames in 1892 between Greenhithe and Northfleet. All of the hoard was similarly dated except one axe-head which is considerably older. It is most likely that this group of weapons was offered to the River as part of a religious activity.
