Bronze dagger, c.1700 BC from off of Jacob's Island at Bermondsey in the River Thames (36.241). Other examples of this type have been recovered from graves and its possible that this one originally was part of burial offerings but became separated by the river's action. The reproduction (below) is a good example of how the handle would have attached to the dagger, although the colour of the Bronze would have differed depending on it's amalgam of metals.
