guided
winfed
lion
carved
in
wood
and
plaster,
a
sysbol
of
the
evengelist
St
Mark
and
emblem
of
the
Venetian
City
State.
It
was
removed
by
British
foces
when
they
evacuated
the
Venetian
fortress
on
Corfu
in
1809.
