Glenluce_Abbey_23_2013

Chapter house, the principal meeting place within the monastery and where the business, punishments and, the Rule was read and discussions were held, within the Cistercian Abbey at Glenluce, Dumfries and Galloway. It was rebuilt c.1500 possibly by Abbot Walter. It doorway is highly ornamented and it is lit by two tracery windows (recently restored) and the central pillar has carved bosses.
